Connect your first platforms

Doing these steps in order matters. If HubSpot and your PSA or ERP already hold records for the same companies and contacts, connecting both platforms and syncing before you link those existing records is how duplicate records get created.

Steps

1. Go to app.hubconnector.io/signup and create your account with a company name, an email address, and a password. This starts a 14-day trial of the Professional plan.
2. Sign in and open the Connections page. It shows a card for each platform you can connect: HubSpot and ConnectWise PSA.
3. Connect HubSpot. See Connect HubSpot for the full walkthrough.
4. Connect ConnectWise PSA. See Connect ConnectWise PSA.
5. If either platform already contains companies or contacts, run Auto-Match before your first sync to link the matching records. See Link existing records with Auto-Match.
6. Open Dry run and run a dry run to preview what syncing would do. Nothing is written to either platform.
7. When the preview looks right, press Start sync on the Dashboard. Nothing is written to either platform until you do. After that, each record syncs the next time it changes, and you can watch it happen in the Dashboard's Recent activity list.
8. To stop writes at any time, press Pause sync on the same card. Edits made while paused sync when you resume, but deletions made while paused are not carried over. To resume, run a fresh dry run, then press Resume sync. Connecting a new account while syncing pauses it until you do.

When to run Auto-Match

Run Auto-Match any time both platforms already contain records for the same companies or contacts. If one platform is empty (for example, you are starting a brand-new ConnectWise instance), Auto-Match is optional, since there is nothing yet to link.
